I created this website to showcase some of my work, share my experiences and passions with others.

Some of the most interesting and inspiring incidents of my life have occurred through sailing, covering fascinating stories for The Stanford Daily and Indian Express and trekking the Himalayas.  My passion for the outdoors and history have significantly impacted my life and have prompted me to undertake many projects including exploring Coastal India and documenting kayaking routes along the Bombay Harbour, publishing a book on The Indian Emergency, joining the Indian Express and becoming a kayaking and sailing instructor.

I also am interested in entrepreneurship. I was Co-President of the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES) for the 2019-20 academic year, and interacted with VCs, entrepreneurs and mentors in the Bay Area through my tenure. BASES is Stanford’s oldest and largest entrepreneurship club. With 100 members this year, my Co-President and I oversaw the largest expansion of the organisation in its history, while radically changing its structure to facilitate cross-team collaboration and transparency in the organisation.

During the pandemic, I got locked down in India and completed my undergrad from there. While at home, I spent an immense amount of time exploring Bombay and its urban and social history, and had the opportunity to interact with some well-known urban historians. Consequently, I developed a new passion for urban planning and history, and learnt so much more about the city’s past and its hidden bylanes. I then began working at IDFC Institute, a think/do tank focused on Data Governance, Urbanisation, Public Health and Criminal Justice Reform and have worked on a range of projects there.

In June 2021, I completed an M.A. in Anthropology at Stanford University and am conducting research on the role of social capital and culture in the diamond trade between Bombay and Surat and have moved to New York City.
